James Street Vets
Payment Policy
Payment at Time of Service
All fees are due at the time of treatment or consultation. We accept cash, debit cards, credit cards and contactless payments.
Estimates
We will always endeavour to provide you with an estimate of costs before any treatment is carried out. Please be aware that estimates are given in good faith and the final cost may vary depending on the complexity of the treatment required.
Insurance
We strongly recommend that you insure your pet as veterinary treatment can be costly. We are unable to bill insurance companies directly. Full payment is required at the time of treatment and you will need to claim from your insurance company directly. We will provide all the necessary paperwork and clinical history to assist with your claim.
Late Payment
If payment is not received at the time of treatment, we may charge interest on outstanding accounts at the rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate. We reserve the right to refer unpaid debts to a debt collection agency, and any costs incurred will be added to the outstanding balance.
Failure to pay outstanding invoices may result in the withdrawal of veterinary services except in an emergency situation.
Payment Plans
If you are experiencing difficulty in paying for your pet's treatment, please speak to one of our team members. We may be able to arrange a payment plan in certain circumstances. This must be agreed in advance of treatment.
If you have any questions about our payment policy, please do not hesitate to contact us at reception@jamesstreetvets.co.uk or call 01507 602828.
