Terms And Conditions

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the provision of veterinary services by James Street Veterinary Centre ("the Practice"). By registering with us or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Registration

To receive veterinary services, clients must register with the Practice and provide accurate, up-to-date contact and pet information. It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to your details.

3. Veterinary Services

We will provide veterinary services with reasonable skill and care in accordance with the standards set by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). All treatment decisions are made in the best interests of the animal patient.

4. Consent to Treatment

By bringing your animal to the Practice for treatment, you are consenting to examination and treatment as recommended by our veterinary team. For surgical procedures and certain treatments, we may require written consent. You must be the owner of the animal or have the owner's authority to consent to treatment.

5. Fees and Payment

All fees are due at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed in advance. Our current fees are available on request. We reserve the right to change our fees at any time. Please refer to our Payment Policy for full details.

6. Insurance

We strongly recommend that you insure your pet. We are unable to bill insurance companies directly. Full payment is required at the time of treatment and you will need to claim from your insurance company directly.

7. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. We reserve the right to charge a fee for missed appointments or late cancellations.

8. Emergency Out-of-Hours Services

We provide emergency out-of-hours cover for registered clients. Emergency fees may be higher than standard consultation fees. For 24/7 digital vet support, we also offer VidiVet to our registered clients free of charge.

9. Client Records and Data Protection

We will maintain records of all treatments carried out on your pet. Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please refer to our Complaints Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

While we take every care to provide the best possible treatment for your pet, veterinary medicine involves inherent risks. We will not be liable for any outcomes that arise despite the provision of reasonable care and skill.

12. VIP Club Membership

Membership of our VIP Club is subject to a monthly direct debit payment. Benefits are only available to animals registered under the membership. A minimum membership period of 12 months applies. Full terms of the VIP Club will be provided upon sign-up.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to clients and will take effect from the date of publication on our website.

14. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
